Additional Stations or Autopilot Integration
How To Add A Second Steering Station or An Autopilot to an Existing SeaStar System
- Determine the location of the second hydraulic helm station or autopilot pump.
- Measure along the intended path of the hose routing from the upper helm to the second station or autopilot pump.
- Round your measurement to the next nearest even length. This is the length of the hose kit required.
- Order hose kit(s) part number HO51xx, the last two digits are the hose length from step 3.
Notes:
- All hoses should be routed with a gradual rise so that air will not be trapped in the lower helm station.
- Some installations require more than 1 hose kit and additional fittings kits.
- Minimum bend radius for outboard hose is 2-1/2".
- A compensating line is required between helm stations or the helm and autopilot pump.
Parts List:
- 1 x hose kit HO57XX (Type the part number HO57XX, replace the XX with your hose length, must be an even number)
- 1 x Fitting kit HF6007 (to be used with -3 helms only, npt helms use HF5501). Supplied with compensating line and fittings.
