- If your SeaStar Power Steering cylinder (ram / actuator) is rebuildable, we have the capability to repair it here at our facility

How Much Does it Cost?
- $795 For the HC5802, HC5804
- $895 For the HC5806

- This includes the seal kits, basic rebuild and ground return shipping
- NOTE: If there are more issues with your cylinder, or you have pained parts that need cleaning, we will contact you for approval to repair and payment information
How Long Does it Take for the cylinder to be Rebuilt?
- 1-2 day turnaround for most rebuilds
Rush My Rebuild?
- Option above ($100): If you send us your part using FedEx Priority Overnight, we can rebuild and ship it back to you on the same day. If we receive your part in the afternoon, we will complete and ship it back to you on the next business day. Please note that if your part is not rebuildable or requires more than a basic rebuild, this may extend the time it takes to complete the work. In such cases, we will inform you accordingly. Please make sure to choose an expedited shipping option at checkout if you would like it returned quicker than free ground.

How To Remove your Cylinder
- 2 Line Systems:
- Remove steering lines from cylinder (cap steering lines and mark Port and Starboard)
- Drain ALL oil from cylinder, if we have to drain the oil for you, there is a $30 fee for us to recycle it
- Place in plastic bag (so any residual oil does not leak into box)
How to Ship your Cylinder

- Your return address
- Your phone number, email and order number
- Any noticeable issues that you see or feel and any noticeable performance issues, this will help us ensure the rebuild fixes your issue
- Ship your cylinder with FedEx, UPS or USPS to the address below
- 2-3 day turnaround and we will ship the cylinder back to you

- Include a note in the box with return address, contact information, and cylinder information, ship the part to us, no need to checkout online. Please note, we can track your rebuild better if you place the order online, you acknowledge this when not placing the order online.

Terms of Purchase:
- If the part is not rebuildable, inspection fee is $100 + returning shipping, $100 of that can be applied to a new part
- Drain ALL oil from cylinder, if we have to drain the oil for you, there is a $30 fee for us to recycle it
- Estimated rebuild time is ONLY AN ESTIMATE, and is based off of when we receive your part, how many rebuilds we have going on at the moment, and how much attention your part will need. In no way is the ESTIMATED rebuild time a guarantee. If you need the part rebuilt immediately select "Yes, RUSH MY REBUILD" above.

Seatech Marine Products, located in San Diego, CA has over 30+ years in the marine service business. We are an authorized dealer for Dometic Seastar, and are well versed of the ins and outs of your cylinder. Once you send your cylinder into us for rebuild, a marine tech will look over your part and make sure it only needs to be rebuilt, if we encounter more issues we will contact you for approval of repair and for your payment information. Most of the rebuilds we do take 1-2 business days, and we will ship the part back to you. Although your cylinder is expected to last years, we offer a 6 month limited warranty. Please do not send in your cylinder if it is frozen from corrosion or has holes in it. Please see new cylinders above if your cylinder is in very bad shape.
