The Sleipner Side-Power SE120 Thruster Kit combines a Sleipner SE120 electric tunnel thruster with your selected helm control, signal cables, bow tunnel and main switch arrangement. Use the selector to review the components for your installation.
A 24V twin-propeller system using a 215 mm tunnel. Confirm the tunnel revision and motor clearance before planning the installation.
Sleipner positions this model for approximately 43-59 ft (13-18 m), subject to hull, windage and installation conditions. Boat length is a starting point; windage, displacement, bow depth and the required control in wind determine the right thruster size.
The SE120 kit needs confirmation of the 215 mm tunnel wall revision before it can be ordered. Tunnel selection and the complete kit price are pending.
Choose a joystick or touchpanel for port and starboard thrust in short bursts. This is not a proportional-speed or hold-function system.
Select a manual battery switch with a separate fuse holder, or a helm-operated automatic main switch with an integrated holder.
Match the tunnel family and routed signal-cable lengths to the boat. These options do not increase the thruster’s output rating.
The components shown in your selected parts list are included. Batteries, high-current power cables, lugs, charging equipment, hull work, installation materials and labor are separate. The automatic switch also needs its fused control-power connection.
Measure the actual routed path, including bends and service slack. Manual mode uses one 4-wire helm cable. Automatic mode uses a 5-wire helm cable and a separate 4-wire cable from the switch to the thruster.
This is a standard bow-tunnel configuration. It does not include a stern tunnel or an ignition-protected motor enclosure. Those installations require a separately specified system.
Side-Power thrusters are made by Sleipner. Match the model, voltage, serial number and production revision when identifying service parts.

Thrust depends on voltage at the motor while running. DIN, SAE and EN battery ratings use different test standards; compare the same standard. Match the installation drawing to the supplied motor revision.

PLAN THE INSTALLATION
215 mm bore; current Sleipner manual specifies 7-9 mm wall thickness. The available stock tunnel revision must be confirmed before ordering.
Position, immersion, tunnel openings and fairing affect thrust and noise. Metal hulls need the appropriate tunnel material and isolation arrangement.
Check the dimensions in the installation drawing, including cable connections, ventilation, supports and future service access. Do not size the compartment from a photograph.
Size the battery bank and power cables from the electrical reference table using the total positive-plus-negative cable run. Install the specified fuse and a suitable accessible main switch.
The selected signal-cable length does not determine the high-current battery-cable size.
Manual mode: a 4-wire cable connects the helm panel to the thruster. Automatic mode: a 5-wire cable connects the panel to the switch, with a separate 4-wire cable to the thruster.
The automatic switch needs its control-power feed and 5A fuse installed according to its wiring diagram; these installation materials are separate.
A different control panel does not add proportional speed or a hold function. Installations requiring those features or ignition protection need the corresponding thruster system.
