The SeaStar HP5825 oil cooler adequately cools the hydraulic fluid in the engine driven power steering system. The heat exchanger requires a minimum of 2.5GPM rate of water flow, withstands a minimum of 100PSI working pressure, and provides 2.25kW of cooling. MADE IN THE USA.

CAUTIONS:

• Do not use teflon tape, this may cause damage to the system. Only use Loctite.
• Do not use steel fittings, only use brass fittings, Use of steel fittings may cause irreparable damage to the unit.
• DO NOT DEFORM THE COOLER IN ANY WAY.

Installation Notes:

• Specific engine connection details by manufacturer and model can be found in your engine owners manual.
• Ensure oil cooler is drained when winterizing your vessel for storage.
• Supply water for cooler MUST be raw water, DO NOT use re-circulated water.
• We recommend installing ALL fittings before securing cooler to a bulkhead using saddle clamps or copper straps.
• It is best to run a parallel circuit on the feed side of the engine to cool the hydraulic fluid most efficiently.
